Producer and star Tom Cruise knew he wanted each chapter of the series to have a different feel from the last, so he hired director John Woo, hot off his 1997 blockbuster FACE/OFF for the eagerly anticipated follow up. In doing so, Cruise set the stage for the shift in style and tone in the subsequent films to come. Composer Hans Zimmer had the task of ushering Lalo Schifrin’s iconic score into the new millennium. Tracks like “Nyah” and “Injection” have become fan favorites of Zimmer’s devoted following. For the first time in any format, we are proud to present Hans Zimmer’s complete score sourced from the original master tapes, and presented on 180 Gram vinyl.
